Pediatric Physical Therapy - Initial Evaluation
A comprehensive, individualized assessment designed to understand your child’s unique movement patterns, strengths, and areas for growth.
Your child’s evaluation is a 60–90 minute in-home session that includes a detailed review of developmental history, functional observation, objective measurements, and hands-on assessment of posture, strength, symmetry, motor coordination, and movement quality.
During the visit, Dr. Lien Tran, PT, DPT will:
Assess gross motor milestones and transitional skills
Evaluate posture, alignment, and muscle balance
Identify asymmetries or movement preferences
Examine head, trunk, and core control
Provide caregiver education and hands-on guidance
Initiate treatment strategies when appropriate
Introduce a personalized home exercise program
This session is collaborative and play-based, designed to help you feel confident and informed about your child’s development.
Following the evaluation, you will receive a written report outlining findings, clinical impressions, and a customized plan of care.
Pediatric Physical Therapy - Treatment Sessions
Ongoing, personalized care designed to help your child build strength, symmetry, and confident movement.
Treatment sessions are 50–60 minutes in length and are thoughtfully tailored to your child’s individual goals and developmental stage. Each visit builds upon the previous session, using play-based, evidence-informed strategies to support meaningful progress.
During treatment sessions, we focus on:
Strengthening head, trunk, and core stability
Improving symmetry and alignment
Enhancing balance, coordination, and endurance
Supporting transitional movements (rolling, sitting, crawling, pulling to stand, walking)
Addressing asymmetries or movement preferences
Integrating postural support and orofacial strength to enhance motor control and musculoskeletal alignment that may influence feeding-related positioning, jaw function, and overall regulation when appropriate
Coaching caregivers with hands-on guidance and home program updates
Sessions are collaborative, engaging, and developmentally appropriate. My goal is not only to support your child’s progress, but also to empower you with the tools and confidence to continue fostering growth between visits.
Together, we build strong foundations — so milestones follow naturally.
